Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Kineprompt (kineprompt.com) is a library of motion videos and the prompts behind them. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email hello@kineprompt.com.

2. What we collect

If you browse without an account, we don't collect anything about you. Your saved prompts, today's prompt count and preferences (like paused previews or your Customize answers) are stored only in your own browser.

If you create an account, we store:

• Your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
• Your password — handled by our authentication provider and stored only as a secure hash. We never see it.
• Which prompts you copy or customize each day, so we can apply fair-use limits and show your history.
• Your saved prompts.
• If you apply for the Unlimited plan: the link to your post, the platform, and the name you choose for our Thank-you wall.

Technical data. Like any website, the services that deliver our pages, fonts and videos receive your IP address and basic browser information.

Analytics (only if you allow it). If you click "Allow analytics" in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited and which prompts are copied. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives information such as the pages you view, your approximate location and your device type. We turn off Google's advertising features and don't use analytics data for ads. If you decline, Google Analytics isn't loaded at all.

3. How we use it

• To run your account and keep you signed in.
• To apply the daily fair-use limits of your plan.
• To sync your saved prompts across devices.
• To review Unlimited applications and, if you agree, show your chosen name on our Thank-you wall.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

4. Services we rely on

We use a small number of providers to run Kineprompt. They process data on our behalf or when your browser loads files from them:

• Supabase — authentication and database (accounts, usage, saved prompts).
• Google — only if you choose "Continue with Google".
• Our hosting provider — serves the website.
• Google Fonts and Fontshare — deliver the fonts used on the site.
• prompt-motion.com media CDN — delivers the video previews and posters.
• Google Analytics — usage statistics, only if you allow analytics cookies.

Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy. Some may process data outside your country.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage for things the site needs to work: keeping you signed in, your saved prompts, today's prompt count, your preferences and your cookie choice. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

We only set analytics cookies (Google Analytics, named _ga) if you choose "Allow analytics". We never use advertising cookies. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page — declining removes the analytics cookies. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline.

6. How long we keep data

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, prompt history, saved prompts and Unlimited applications are deleted immediately. Data kept only in your browser stays there until you clear it.

7. Your choices and rights

• Edit your display name from your dashboard.
• Delete your account and all associated data from your dashboard at any time.
• Hide yourself from the Thank-you wall when you apply, or ask us to remove you later.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, by emailing hello@kineprompt.com.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have further rights. Contact us and we'll help.

8. Security

All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS, every database table is protected by row-level security so you can only read your own data, and passwords are hashed by our authentication provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

9. Children

Kineprompt isn't directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email hello@kineprompt.com and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes we'll let account holders know.
